Lately, I've been getting quite a few calls from different mobile numbers that turned out to be robocalls. So now, whenever a number I don't know rings me, I just don't pick up. That's exactly what happened with this 0800 number on 22.4.22.

TalkTalk’s fault line is a total nightmare. You can hardly make sense of what they’re saying most of the time. And if you do catch what they mean, they just end up telling you everything’s fine with your broadband or phone line, when clearly it isn’t. This number might be used by TalkTalk or it could be a scammer using a fake caller ID. If it’s TalkTalk, they do this so you can’t ring back easily or to annoy you if you’re already making a complaint. Sometimes it rings on your landline with no one speaking, then a bit later the same number calls your mobile - that’s usually TalkTalk, who’ll then claim they tried to get in touch with you a few days later.

The accent sounded really odd, even for TalkTalk. I once had an issue that was sorted out by Outreach, who aren’t with BT now! They rang my landline after I turned down the exact call on my mobile. On the 25th of November 2017, I received a call from this number at precisely 13:42. However, as soon as I picked up, the line went completely silent. They haven’t attempted to ring me again, which raises my suspicions that this may very well be another scammer at work. I’m pretty sure it was TalkTalk calling as I been moaning about their rubbish service for well over a year now. The bloke on the phone was speaking so fast and unclear, I just gave up and ended the call. I already told TalkTalk about a problem with my mum’s phone and asked them not to ring her because it’s upsetting her, and instead to call me on my mobile. But they went ahead and phoned her twice right after each other. This is really not on and is causing my 92-year-old mum a lot of stress.

I received a ring from a caller claiming to be TalkTalk Telecoms. They introduced themselves as TalkTalk, but after that, their speech became quite jumbled and I struggled to comprehend what they were saying.

This number belongs to TalkTalk. I've been dealing with ongoing issues with my broadband since February 2017, and nothing's been fixed yet. My internet speed is currently barely reaching 0.5 Mbps, and I've spoken to around 30 different Fault and Tech Managers who’ve all failed to sort out the problem. They ring me on this number when they cut off my landline and need to get hold of me on my mobile. Honestly, I don't think I’ll be staying with TalkTalk for much longer!

I've written multiple letters of complaint to Talk Talk, and each time, I receive a call from this number claiming to be a customer service representative. They rang me on bank holiday Monday at the beginning of May and again on bank holiday Sunday at the end of the month. Having endured a rather distressing experience as a long-suffering Talk Talk customer, I requested they validate their authenticity by reciting my complaint letter back to me. However, they simply began reciting from one of those typical customer service scripts and then wanted to ask me a series of so-called "security questions" to verify my identity. Given that they initiated the call, and considering my letters clearly stated that I would only communicate with Talk Talk in writing, I decided to hang up. Honestly, I'm left wondering if they are genuinely from Talk Talk or merely con artists-does it really matter at this point?

On Bank Holiday Monday, I got a call from this number, some person with a foreign accent saying they were from Talk Talk. They said they wanted to "sort out my complaint" but I'd already taken my serious unresolved issue to Ofsted. Plus, I’d informed Talk Talk in writing that I didn’t want any more phone calls due to the verbal abuse I'd had. There’s absolutely no record of any promises they make, they keep changing their story, lying all the time. Honestly, it’s impossible to know if you’re speaking to the real company or just some scammer.

Received a call at half six in the morning inquiring about my sister-in-law.

Talktalk is a nightmare, honestly. If you’re thinking about getting your phone or internet through them, just don’t. You call up and get stuck with that useless call centre nonsense. When you ask for a manager, they just put you on hold forever. And then, after ages, they put you on hold again. Feels like the badly trained people there are just panicking, trying to figure out how to deal with someone who wants a UK supervisor or something. Proper frustrating experience.

This morning I had a missed call from 08009555511 on my mobile, but they hung up before I could answer. Then, almost immediately, my landline got a call, rang just once and stopped. I’m thinking it might be TalkTalk because I spent nearly an hour on the phone with them yesterday about a technical problem. They said my issue was being 'escalated' and that they’d call me back within two working days. Still, it feels odd they’d only let it ring once if it really was them. I can’t shake off the feeling it might be some sort of scam.

I've been bombarded with calls multiple times throughout the day, potentially from TalkTalk. They're also reaching out to me on my mobile, and I can't seem to return the voicemails they've left. It’s utterly irritating! I'm keen to lodge a complaint against TalkTalk for this incessant disturbance.

I believe this number is associated with the call centre in Preston. If you try ringing it, you're unlikely to get an answer, as it merely redirects through the standard switchboard.

So this moany Scouse woman calls me up, sounding proper dodgy. She starts off with that classic line, "I'm calling about that accident you supposedly had ages ago." Was kinda freaky how she knew loads about me. I just kept her chatting for a bit, mostly cos I couldn't stand her voice. Eventually told her she dialled the wrong number. Such a shame she’s wasting her time scamming folks like that. She ended it by wishing me a lovely day, of all things!

I've received a call from this number, but no voicemail was left. It's rather baffling, isn't it? You'd think that businesses like this would at least drop a message to say who they are if they wanted a callback!

Received a call purportedly from Talktalk, but I was already aware of an Open Reach appointment slated for the next day. They attempted to propose a different engineer instead. There was also a mention of potential fees if the problem was found within my premises. I'm left uncertain whether this was a legitimate call or just a scam!

I've tried ringing 08009555511 around four or five times over the past few days, and every time I answer, it's just silence before the call drops. I can't shake the feeling it's TalkTalk up to their usual tricks again. I can't quite figure out their game, but it definitely smells like some sort of dodgy scam that's somehow serving their interests.
