Got a call claiming to be from TalkTalk’s credit control, asking me for my contract info. I said no and they just hung up.

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of people who ring up don’t bother saying who they are or the company they’re from right away. It’s like they haven’t been taught properly or just don’t think it matters. They end up babbling and not making any sense, which usually means I just hang up on them. Total waste of time!

This number rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk’s complaints team. I wasn’t sure if it was legit or not but decided to hear them out. Didn’t share any personal info though, still felt a bit uneasy about the whole thing.

I've had this number ring me up four times today, each time saying they're from talktalk's fault management team. They claim it's about a complaint I've apparently got open and want me to ring back when I can. Then on the second call, someone said they're the complaints manager at talktalk, talking about a complaint I'd made about an engineer's fee and said the charge has been dropped. Quite confusing really. -Helen
