Yeh, this really is O2! I was trying to upgrade through their website, then suddenly they rang me and had a cracking offer that you can’t get online. I asked loads of stuff only O2 would be able to answer about my account, so I knew it was legit. Got my phone delivered the next day as well.

Couldn't tell who called me earlier as I didn't pick up. No voicemail either. Looked up the number here and loads of people say it's O2 pushing upgrades. I'm with O2 too, so might be legit, but I never pick up 0800 numbers or unknown calls. Let them ring all they want! If they bother me again, I'll just block it.

Somebody said they were from 02 but seemed a bit off, so I just ended the call. They started asking loads of questions that felt like they wanted to get info from me. I’ll ring 02 myself if I want to check out switching contracts. With all the scams going around, I’m avoiding calls like this altogether.

So I got a call from these guys and we ended up going back and forth for like 5 minutes, and after that they never called me again. But then the lad didn’t hang up properly and I got a voicemail from them, which was weird cos they were chatting crap about a woman looking fat in a photo or something. They said they were from O2, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t true at all.

Got a call from an Irish woman asking loads of personal stuff, trying to sell me something when I already got a phone. She even asked if I was the primary account holder, which surely she should have known. Told her off, hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I just had a rather unsettling experience with a bloke on the phone, who claimed to be from O2. He even used my first name, which was quite off-putting! I made it a point to ask him directly whether he was genuinely affiliated with O2 or if he was just another con artist. Once he got a bit aggressive, I took the opportunity to tell him I appreciated him clarifying that he was indeed a scammer, since there's no way O2 would treat their customers in such a rude manner!
