This number is from Virgin Mobile debt collectors chasing you over a bill you never paid. You might wanna think about changing your phone number, coz if you don’t they’ll be ringing you nonstop, day and night.

I rang Virgin Media's customer support and the woman I spoke to said it was a legit call from one of their advisors, so it's not a scam. You can always phone their official number if you're unsure, it’s 0345 454 1111.

Pretty sure it was a scam. They rang me up asking to verify my name and wanted 3 digits from my password. I just made up 3 random letters and they said it was wrong. I told the bloke I was just giving random characters cos I suspected a scam, and they hung up straight away. If it had really been Virgin, I reckon they’d have stayed on the phone.

The person on the phone just said to make a payment or talk to an operator. I ended my Virgin SIM contract a few months back. They asked if I was the account holder and then wanted the first letter of my password. I hung up straight away.

This number has rung me over 5 times now but I never picked up and they didn’t leave any voicemail. I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam. It’s really frustrating getting calls from someone you don’t know.

A lady with quite a strong accent called, asking for me by name as the person paying for a SIM card my daughter hasn’t used in ages. I’d already stopped the direct debit a few months back. She asked for my account password, which I didn’t have on me, but she dropped a hint that sounded like it could be right. When I couldn’t confirm details, she told me to find my documents and phone back tomorrow (on Mother’s Day, no less!) saying she couldn’t talk about the account otherwise. Proper abrupt and not very polite at all.

This number is from Virgin Mobile, and I’m getting nonstop calls about an unpaid SIM deal I never agreed to. I’ve already filed a complaint with Virgin Media about this, but now Virgin Mobile are bugging me too. Honestly, I don’t mind them calling - they’re just handing me more proof for when I take this to CISAS and the Financial Ombudsman for mis-selling and now harassment. I phoned back to talk to a manager; they said someone called Ollie would ring me within two hours, but it’s been over three hours and no call yet!

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming she was from Virgin Mobile. She had my name but I told her it wasn’t me, then she asked if I knew who the person was and if she could have their number, seriously! Also got a text from this number saying I’d missed my last Virgin Mobile payment and to call to sort it out. Definitely a scam, not Virgin Mobile at all, and I’ve paid my bill, no worries 😀😀

This email looked dodgy from the start - the layout was all over the place and they even messed up my name. But the weird thing was, some of the details on the form linked to this number looked legit, which made me unsure. These sort of scammy emails really should be caught by providers like Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo because they can check if the email headers match where it’s supposed to come from. The number shown is like this, the 0845 is a real line but the 0800 is probably the one most folks might fall for. 0845 077 1199 and 0800 952 2025 - watch out, total scammers!

Got an email that looked dodgy straight away - the layout was all over the place and they even got my name wrong. But the rest of the info, including the contact details linked to this number, looked legit enough to make me hesitate. Honestly, providers like Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo should really be catching this kinda stuff by checking if the email headers match where it’s really from. The number’s displayed like this: the 0845 one is genuine, but the 0800 number is the one loads of folks might fall for. 0845 077 1199 #0800 952 2025 WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS!

I received a call on my mobile and they were asking for my daughter, who actually has her own Virgin account. They wanted me to sort something out and then started requesting the 1st, 3rd and 5th letters of her password. I told them I had no idea, then they told her to call them back and just ended the call.

Got this fake email supposedly from Virgin Mobile about some fake unpaid monthly bill. They faked the email address and details so it looked real, but included two phone numbers to call for payment - and yep, this number was one of them! Pretty clever scam since everything seemed legit except the phone number. They’re banking on you pick the easiest way to pay, calling the freephone number, and not realise it’s dodgy. Also, for the muppets saying this is a real email or phone number, just stop.

They ring me up three times and I was straight away suspicious just from checking the number. I played along a bit, giving them made-up addresses just to mess with them. Then the woman asked for my security info, which I said I didn’t have, and after that she told me to send a letter to some address that didn’t match any Virgin place I know. Don’t hand over any info, just keep them talking and waste their time!

Kept ringing me non-stop, day and night. When I finally picked up, it was an Indian lady who was, like so many, hard to follow. This was supposedly Virgin Media collections. They kept calling daily, and when we eventually answered, they asked for parts of our password and an email address. Then they pushed for payment right there on the phone. I absolutely refused to hand over my card info to someone who just called me. They said sending a letter wasn't an option. The woman was quite nasty and pushy. I declined to share any info and then called Virgin Media directly using a number from their official site, which resolved everything. Never give card info to callers who get in touch with YOU.

got another call from this number today but I just let it ring out.

Got a call from this number and when I picked up a woman with an accent said it was about my Virgin Mobile account, which I actually cancelled ages ago, back in 21/11/2018. She called on my landline of all things! She asked for my password and info from my security questions. I told her I closed the account years ago and ended the call. Such a pestering scam, this number keeps calling me up to three times a day.

I'm with Virgin Media and Mobile, just got off the phone with them about this number and all the calls I've been getting. They told me "This number isn't from Virgin and there's nothing wrong with your account, so just ignore the calls, it's a scam." Hopefully that clears things up for some of you.

I ended up calling this number back after they rang me three times today but left no voicemail. Turns out it’s Virgin Mobile. I asked them why they kept ringing when I’m not a Virgin Mobile customer. They said they needed my name and phone number to find my account. I told them I don’t have an account with them. Then the person on the line said they couldn’t talk to me about it and told me to ring a different number to sort it out. Proper cold call, that was.

Somebody called claiming to be from Virgin Media or Mobile. I’ve never had anything with Virgin before. I said I’d give customer services a ring to verify. Virgin confirmed they don’t call customers out of the blue and said it’s definitely a scam.

I called Virgin on their main line, 789, they told me there's nothing wrong with my account, they didn’t know the number either, and advised me not to pick up or respond to it.

Called Virgin on 150 and they confirmed the number is a genuine Virgin one, but the local Virgin Media shop told me it’s a scam number. If they can’t even recognise their own numbers, what hope do the rest of us have? No more contract phones for me, been faffing about for hours trying to figure out which side is telling the truth. Proper waste of time.

Got a text saying there’s “problems with my account that might be messing with my phone service” and to call that number. I haven’t bothered calling yet since I think my Virgin account (phone, tv, internet) is all paid up. I’m thinking of trying to ring them from a different phone just in case it’s a scam.

I can confirm that this isn't a dodgy scam number. It's actually linked to the collections team at Virgin Mobile. I made the effort to give them a ring and found out it was genuine when they confirmed their association with that number. Besides, if it were a fraud, they'd likely have just pretended to represent Virgin or some other entity. Since I use Virgin Mobile myself, I dialled 789 directly from my phone to ensure I was indeed speaking with their team. They reassured me that 0800 952 2025 is indeed part of their collections department.

I've encountered a rather similar issue. I informed the chap that I'd looked up this number and it appears to be linked to a phishing con. In a rather polite manner, I suggested he should clear off!

I keep getting calls like multiple times a day, usually early morning and in the evening. They never bother to leave a voicemail. I've just blocked the number now.

What a pain! I get calls all the time but there’s never anyone there and they don’t even leave a message!

I've been inundated with roughly 30 calls over the past four months, and the most infuriating part? I don’t even have an account with Virgin Mobile! They keep insisting they’re from Virgin, which is just so tiresome.

Virgin Mobile? I’ve never signed up with them before, don’t plan to either, and honestly I wish they’d just quit calling me.

I keep receiving calls from this number asking for someone named Adrian. I’ve told them numerous times that I’m the one who owns this number, and I’m a woman who doesn’t know anyone by that name. I refuse to share any personal information with them. Just to clarify, I am not a Virgin customer either. It’s absolutely absurd!

I've received three calls this week from a woman who seems to be from India, inquiring about my son's mobile phone. I've already advised her to contact my son's number directly if there's an issue. Is it possible that this is a scam?

I've been receiving relentless calls from a rather persistent woman claiming to be from Virgin, inquiring about someone named John. I've explained repeatedly that there's no one by that name residing here, yet she continues to ask, "Do you know him? Do you know him?" It's beyond irritating! If this nonsense doesn't cease, I'll have no choice but to consider terminating my Virgin service!

Received a rather dubious call today from this number. An individual with a strong Indian accent was on the line, inquiring about my password, claiming mine was wrong. She read out the prompt to me, which was spot on, yet insisted on guiding me through the process of altering it. When I mentioned it wasn't necessary to change it, she switched tactics and started asking about my tariff, my most recent bill amount, and the date of my last payment. It all reeked of a phishing attempt, so I bid her farewell and promptly ended the call.

I just got a message purportedly from Virgin Media saying, "We've encountered some problems with your account which may be impacting your mobile service. Please ring the team on 0800 952 2025 to resolve this." If you happen to get a text like that, I would highly recommend disregarding it and deleting it straightaway, as it’s likely a phishing attempt. Be cautious!

Went straight to voicemail and they didn’t say anything. Might be a scam but I’d just paid my Virgin Mobile bill online, so maybe it was connected to that.

Got three calls from that number already - all I hear is silence when I pick up, but the last time, the caller tried to ask for a Mr. M. before the call just dropped. Bit odd cos I'm actually Miss H, and the phone they rang is a work phone on EE! I've just gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I got really worried when I read someone saying it was a scam call. This number is for Virgin’s customer service. I called it to sort out paying for my contract ending after I stopped my direct debit. I even double checked by calling their 0345 line again!!!
