I've been receiving calls from this number at least two or three times a day for the past month. We tend to avoid answering calls from unknown numbers and usually pass them over if there's no message left. But this particular number hasn't ever left a message, which clearly indicates it’s not of any significance. Does anyone out there happen to know who might be behind these calls, or what they're ringing about?

"They then proceed to request all your account details, which is rather peculiar since they should presumably possess that information already. In fact, they DO possess it. The purpose of those security questions is simply to verify your identity as the rightful account holder. This helps them steer clear of chatting with the chap who tidies up your flat when you’re out and about, who might flippantly agree to enhance your Sky package to HD across several rooms. Before you know it, he vanishes, leaving you puzzled as to why you've suddenly been slapped with a hefty bill!"

I keep getting calls from the same number three or four times a day. Finally, I answered out of sheer annoyance. It turned out to be some folks claiming to be from Sky TV, offering a complimentary upgrade as a thank you for my loyalty. However, they then proceeded to request all my account information, which, frankly, they should already possess. It soon shifted to them asking for my bank details. It was blatantly a scam designed to fish for my banking information. I suggest contacting your phone provider and getting them to block the number - that service is usually offered at no charge for both landlines and mobiles. Hope this info helps everyone out there!

I've been receiving calls from this number three times daily, without fail. It’s become my unwelcome morning alarm, plus they ring at lunchtime and in the evening too. I never answer as I steer clear of 0800 calls, but it's getting increasingly annoying. My phone buzzes away during work meetings and all sorts. Last month, I cancelled my long-standing contract with Sky after moving in with my partner in February, who already had their service. Since then, it feels like I'm being hounded. Anyone have a clue what they might want? I’m seriously considering picking up next time just to let loose! It's absolutely infuriating.

I've had this number call me incessantly, around fifteen times or so, averaging about three to four times each day. It's becoming exceedingly vexatious. They never leave a voicemail, which leads me to believe it's nothing of consequence. I never answer these types of calls, and once they're logged, they inevitably pop up in search results. It’s clear they’re just cold-calling, either to pester or to sell some utterly useless thing.

I received a rather peculiar call this evening regarding a satisfaction survey for Sky. The caller requested my name but didn’t delve into any personal specifics. Strangely enough, she had my Sky account details and even verified them with me. It was simply to gauge my experience with their service. Sky has since verified that the call was indeed legitimate. Quite odd, if you ask me!

Indeed, it appears that these individuals are already in possession of relevant information. They'll pose security-related enquiries to verify the identity of the person they’re conversing with. It would be prudent for these security questions to be either something pre-established or straightforward details, like one’s birth date, rather than requiring you to repeat every bit of information! (Just a side note, steering clear of using your mother’s maiden name as a security query is wise. It’s alarmingly easy to unearth that kind of detail these days!)
