Watch out, this one sounded legit, like they were from Santander. They had some of my info, but when they started asking for my login details to "stop someone using my account without permission," I knew something was wrong. Santander would never request that kinda info over the phone. I hung up and called Santander myself, and sure enough, they said it was a scam and helped me update my details.

I received a phone call purporting to be from the fraud department of Santander, supposedly concerning suspicious activity linked to a charge from Dunelm. The caller seemed to have details like the name and card number, which made the situation all the more alarming. He insisted that the individual I care for needed to head to the nearest post office to transfer funds to a so-called "secure, separate account." When I challenged him, stating that I recognised his intentions as nefarious, he responded with threats directed at my client. It's truly disturbing that such lowlifes target those in a vulnerable position.

Beware of this number, it’s a complete con. They pose as fraud prevention from Santander and kick things off by asking about your account-like the precise balance, past transactions, and such. They claim there’s a bloke named ‘Mouhammed’ attempting to access your account and pressure you into verifying your details to supposedly secure your account against him. When I began to doubt their credibility, they texted me from what looked like a Santander number, but there was a cheeky full stop before ‘Santander,’ which raised my suspicions even more. When I probed them further, they resorted to foul language and started hurling abuse. Do yourself a favour and block this number. I called Santander directly, and it’s definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Santander, they already had my birthday and postcode, saying there were payments over £800 to Argos and over £2000 to some garage in Scotland. They asked if I knew anything about it, I said no, and my husband overheard the conversation. I told the caller I didn’t think it was really Santander since they wouldn’t ring me directly. They then told me it’d be my fault if my money disappeared and hung up. When my hubby tried ringing them back, the line just disconnected straight away.

Got a call on the 6th of May from someone claiming to be with Santander, saying there was an attempt to withdraw £800 for curries from my account. They asked for my name, which seemed odd since the bank should already have that info. I ended the call straight away. After that, they kept ringing my mobile for some time. I contacted my bank to double-check, and they confirmed it was a scam. I'm 76 years old and it just didn’t feel right to me.

I work at a bank and one of our customers recently flagged this number as a scam. Apparently, the scammers had somehow gotten hold of his account balance. They also tried to trick him by giving a bogus card number and ended up threatening him with harm. Quite a scary thing to deal with!

I got a call from someone saying they were from my bank, warning me about a suspicious transaction. When I picked up, there was a recorded message asking me to confirm who the transaction was with. They then asked if I’d shared any info recently with Hermes or the post office because apparently there’s a lot of scams like this going on. Received two calls from someone claiming to be from the Santander Fraud Team. What a numpty! They didn't take kindly to our less-than-flattering opinions of them. Then they decided to ring back, making all sorts of alarming threats regarding our home. Had to notify the police about it.

He wanted me to confirm a transaction supposedly from DEBENHAMS and even mentioned the last four digits of a card that I definitely don’t own. It's quite clear this is some sort of scam.
