If your provider is EE and you get a call from 150 - just ignore it and don't ring back. I phoned EE on 150 myself and they told me there’s no record of any calls to me on my account. If it was them, it’d probably show up as a mobile code. They also said this number isn’t connected to them at all.

This isnt EE, so better just drop the call. When EE calls about bills, it’s a real person on the line from their UK or Ireland call centre. If you’re not 100% sure, just end the call and ring EE directly on 150.

I've been getting annoying calls nonstop for years, both during the day and late into the evening. Honestly, if you’re thinking of using EE or Orange for your home phone, I'd recommend against it. Without a doubt, this call is from EE. It’s just an automated alert triggered if a direct debit payment misses or if there’s any unpaid balance on your account. Got one myself today. I’d recently switched the date for my DD payment, but their system didn’t update and assumed it was still due earlier, which caused the call. I work at EE, and honestly, I was a bit gutted by how robotic their customer service has become. Still, I double-checked with Head Office and yep, it’s definitely them. Personally, I wouldn’t rely on this method to sort payments out - it’s better to ring them up on 0844 873 8586 (the call is free from EE lines) and really make a fuss. Also, if you’ve got a business account, ask them if it’s handled like this. Spoiler: it isn’t!
