If your provider is EE and you get a call from 150 - just ignore it and don't ring back. I phoned EE on 150 myself and they told me there’s no record of any calls to me on my account. If it was them, it’d probably show up as a mobile code. They also said this number isn’t connected to them at all.

This isnt EE, so better just drop the call. When EE calls about bills, it’s a real person on the line from their UK or Ireland call centre. If you’re not 100% sure, just end the call and ring EE directly on 150.

This is unmistakably EE. What I received was a standard automated message triggered by a missed direct debit payment or an unsettled account balance. Just got one today, as it happens! I had adjusted the direct debit day, but the system still registered it as the old date, hence the call. As an EE employee, I was quite let down by this robotic level of customer care. However, I did confirm with Head Office that it’s indeed from us. That said, I wouldn't rely on this system for making payments. I would strongly recommend giving them a bell at 0844 873 8586 (that's a free call for EE customers) and raising your concerns vigorously. Also, don’t hesitate to ask about how their business accounts are handled - trust me, it's a different ball game!
