No clue where they found my phone number from. They call loads. Sometimes it’s quiet for a while, then bam, they’re back at it again. I spoke to them ages ago and told them I wasn’t who they said I owed money to, but they just don’t seem to care. Definitely don’t share any of your info with them.

They said they were from a PRA group, which Ive never come across before. No idea how they got my number or even my name. They asked if I had an account with gold fish, something ive never opened. Then they tried to confirm who I was by asking for the first line of my address and other info. It all felt really sketchy. If you see this, dont share any of your details and just tell them they’ve got the wrong number.

I get calls from the same number, like twice a week, on my work phone. They say it’s from PRA group and want me to ring back. The voicemail is always the same, but you can hear a bloke talking over it halfway through. The number isn’t even private and I only got this number a few months ago, so it can’t be meant for me. I’ve blocked them but somehow they keep leaving messages. Very annoying!

Pra Group is doin something wrong by keeping people’s info after GDPR rules came in. Only the original company that had contract with the customer is allowed to keep data, and only till the contract finishes. If after 2 weeks customer don’t want to work with them anymore, the company has to delete all personal info by law. When loan companies sell debts, it’s like contract ending. The new owner doesn’t have permission to use the customer’s info unless they get a new agreement with the customer first.

Got a call from a Scottish woman claiming to be from PRA Group about something to do with Lloyds. She kept asking for my security info but I told her I’ve never dealt with that bank before and just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

A woman with a really thick Scottish accent called and asked for me by name. When I asked who it was, she said something like P R something, didn’t catch fully. Then she tried to check my details for security or something. I just said no thanks and ended the call.

They’ve been calling almost daily for months now! I never answer, just let it go to voicemail. Managed to find out who they are online. I don’t owe anything, so no clue why they keep ringing me. They’re such a pain, but they can keep calling ‘cos I’m never gonna call back! I just keep deleting the messages whenever they leave one.

This number is linked to someone claiming to be from a company called PRA Group. They seem to be a debt collection agency pursuing a debt supposedly bought from Bank of Scotland. They called saying they're from PRA Group and asked me to confirm the first line of my address for security reasons. Before I gave any info, I asked what the call concerned. When they said it was about my Bank of Scotland account, I told them I don’t have one. They then said they must have dialled the wrong number. Honestly, as if anyone is gonna share their address info with some random firm.

For the past six years I've been getting calls *twice a day* from debt collectors chasing someone who hasn’t lived at my place in ages. They say this person owes the bank money, but no matter how much I explain, they just won’t accept that I’m not them. A simple look-up on the electoral roll would clear it up. They’re extremely rude too; the last bloke called me a "stupid b****" and said he’d keep ringing because he thinks I’m lying. Honestly, it’s ridiculous. These companies seriously need to be stopped. I’ve already reported them.

Had a bloke from PRA Group ring me up, sounded like a proper muppet. I just blocked the number through BT and that was that. If you don’t wanna block, just pick up and tell ’em they’ve dialled the wrong number, easy as that! Proper laugh every time, job done! xx

I’ve never been in debt, not a penny to my name, so no clue why they’d be ringing me. The guy on the line sounded American and introduced himself as Luke Brown. Then some woman spoke after, her accent was hard to place, said something about PRA Group and asked me to call back on 08008772772. When I checked their website, the browser showed it as not secure, which made me suspicious. Odd thing is, I didn’t get a missed call, just a voicemail. Bit fishy if you ask me!

I’m honestly shocked at how cheeky these fools are. They even stuck green safe lights on the board to make it look like they’re legit or something. Don’t fall for it, they’re total scammers. Just block them straight away!

Just got hit up by this PRA Group lot, who apparently collect debts. Never come across them before until I googled them after loads of strange texts. The messages were meant for some Samantha, asking about a payday loan! I’m retired, so why on earth would I be after a loan, and I’m definitely not Samantha. I rang the number sending the texts, and they promised they’d take my phone off their list. But now PRA Group won’t leave me alone, so I guess those loan sharks must have given them my number. Proper annoying!

I keep getting calls from this number, and I leave a message back, but they ring up to three times a day. It’s really getting on my nerves. The annoying bit is, I can block their calls, but they still manage to leave voicemail messages on me! Don’t understand how they’re getting through since I’ve already blocked the number. Had some dodgy debt collectors ringing me up outta nowhere, even tho I don’t owe them a thing. They must grab numbers from some mailing list or somethin and then start saying you’ve got debts to sort out. Just go ahead and block them, and I’d say report em to the FCA too.

PRA Group is a legit debt collection agency, so these calls aren’t scams and there’s no foreign accent involved. Some of the comments here seem made up to me. They only get in touch once a debt is handed over to them. It’s best to pick up and talk over your debt if you owe one, or let them know they’ve dialed the wrong number if it’s a mix-up. I get that scam calls can be a pain, but people spreading false info about real numbers is just as frustrating. It ends up messing with the whole idea behind these sites that help check if a number is trustworthy or not.

PRA Group usually gets in touch only when a company has handed over a debt to them. I reckon you should pick up and have a chat, even if you don’t think you owe anything. Honestly, why would you just ignore their call?
