I requested a leaflet about recliners from Willowbrook since I wanted to check the prices but there wasn’t any info on Thursday 20th July. They’ve called me six times up until today, Monday 24th July, but I didn’t realise it was them because I usually ignore unknown numbers. Decided to check online, and I’m really glad I did! Tricking elderly folks out of their life savings and what shouldve been left for their kids. Selling tat thats way overpriced and probably unsafe too. Check out the posts from 12/3/22 under here. Best to block, tell the coppers and text '7726'. If youve bought anything, make sure to get trading standards on it as well.

I rang them asking for a brochure about the aqua lift for my mother-in-law, and since then I’ve been bombarded with calls to book a demonstration. They say they can’t give a price without checking your bathroom first. I clearly told them if we decided to proceed, I’d get in touch to arrange it, but they don’t seem to listen. It feels like they’re just trying to wear you down until you give in. Makes me worry what it’d be like if an older person was dealing with this on their own without any family around to back them up.

The police won’t have any clue about how bad this scam problem is or what methods are being used unless people actually report it. At the moment, police records say fraud makes up around 40% of all crimes reported, but I bet if every single scam attempt was logged, that number would jump to over 99%. That kind of info would definitely get the attention of some people - MPs included!!

I’ve asked Willow Brook for a brochure about a chair for my elderly mum about four times now, but all I get are endless calls pushing for an appointment with some “consultant” who’ll bring a chair to try out. They won’t even give a rough idea of the price before turning up.
