This woman calling herself “Caterina Larosa” said she’d sent cash via Paypal for an item I was selling on eBay, but then said I had to cough up £2700 upfront. The caller claimed to be from PayPal, saying they’d handle my sale payment but needed me to pay shipping and handling fees of £1940 first. It was all very detailed and convincing at first. I asked them to call me back, and they did shortly after, again claiming to be from PayPal. I told them outright they weren’t, and after insisting once more, they just hung up on me.
