I received a call from a woman named Sophie on the number plus08008223880, claiming to represent a firm that could recover £293 pertaining to bank charges. She asked for our banking details and the number on our security card, purportedly to verify our identity. In a moment of naivety, we provided her with the card details, which had no set spending limit. Shortly after, we were alerted by our credit card company that there had been attempts to charge us £590, £450, and £290. We’ve since contacted our bank to cancel the card and have a new one issued. Just a heads-up to everyone: these fraudsters are active, so stay vigilant!

We found ourselves ensnared in the same predicament. Almost immediately after we provided our banking details, under the pretext that they required it for address verification, we discovered that they had charged us £79.99 not once, but twice! On their third attempt, they failed, thankfully. I’m currently working on reclaiming our funds! These individuals are truly shady and rather unscrupulous.

Absolutely, everyone needs to be on high alert. We received a call from these individuals just the other week, and we told them to reach out to us again in a month's time. Well, guess what? They went ahead and took £148.99 straight from our account! We’re seriously doubting whether we'll ever see that money again. So, if anyone gets a call from them, best to cancel your card immediately and place a temporary block on any direct debits. Just moments ago, we received a similar call from a chap who identified himself as being from a so-called bank, claiming that we could claim £2028 due to our little one being born in 2004. He mentioned that the fee for this service would be £159, which seemed rather dubious. We shared our address with him, and he then asked for our bank details.
