11 yearsBE WARY! It's a total scam! I stumbled upon this number while using a converter site called www.video2mp3.net. It appears that the site has been compromised with malware. The page is inundated with deceptive install buttons and phony error messages. Even with AdBlock Plus activated, some of these nuisances still manage to sneak through. For instance, there's a pop-up that insists, "You must update to Java 12.4 to proceed with the video conversion." One of the pop-ups directs you to a page claiming you've contracted a virus and need to ring an 0800 number (0800 802 1523). The screen won't cooperate - it keeps making beeping noises and is almost impossible to close, not even with Task Manager. You eventually have to power down your computer to escape it. THIS NUMBER IS A FRAUD! THERE IS NO VIRUS INFECTING YOUR MACHINE. While the number appears to be local, I suspect it’s routed overseas since it mentions "toll free", which isn’t typically a British term. - caller: 0800 802 1523AdBlock11 yearsI've experienced something quite similar!
