Got a call from this number on my phone but no one spoke when I picked up. Looking at other reviews, sounds like it’s meant to be Sky. Someone claimed to be from Sky and asked me to confirm all my details, which I refused. Then I mentioned I’d just renewed my contract and she replied with an ‘OK’. I told her that if she really was from Sky, she’d know that already. Really odd call, some guy muttering nonsense in a really quiet voice, then a woman's voice cuts in apologising for any bother and telling me to press zero if I want off their marketing list. I wasn’t home to pick up, and even if I was, there’s no way I’d press anything to prove the number is active. What a daft thing to do, glad I didn’t. It’s exactly like spam emails - if you reply, you just confirm your address is live. Best thing to do is block and delete. If you just ignore them long enough, they usually give up and stop pestering you eventually.

Now after reading other reviews on here, it looks like it might be a dodgy number! So, best to not answer when it rings. One of the comments says it's a Sky Customer Services number - but who knows what’s true? Maybe someone pretending to be Sky to trick you. I think it’s wiser to just ignore it and be on the safe side.

This number looked like a legit Sky one, but these days it’s really easy to fake them. The person calling knew how long I’d been with Sky but then asked for my password or my mum’s maiden name. Then she claimed to be from Sky Customer Service. Asked if I was making the most of my current package deal. I told her I wasn’t interested in adding anything as I’d already wanted to cancel before. Suddenly they cut the call. It didn’t feel like an official Sky call at all. Definitely seemed fishy, even if the number looked like Sky’s. Feels like scammers might have cloned their details or something.

Got a call from 08008021480 earlier today, a woman claiming to be with Sky TV. I’d already chatted with a bloke at Sky about my account and TV package yesterday afternoon. When I mentioned this to the lady, she just hung up straight away.

Got a call on my landline but they didnt leave any message. Then rang my mobile about 10 minutes later, asked for me by the right surname but used the wrong title. I’m registered with the TPS. I work night shifts and this is seriously annoying, feels like harassment. Definetly blocking them!

Received a call earlier from this number, purporting to be Sky. It was a right racket on the line, and the chap’s voice was all a bit garbled, almost as if he was trying to cloak his true identity. He claimed to be ringing from Sky, but before he could continue, he wanted me to answer a few security questions. I told him if there was anything wrong, he ought to ping me an email instead. As far as I’m aware, Sky wouldn’t ring me about anything unless I initiated contact, and they guaranteed a follow-up call. I certainly didn’t agree to receive any marketing calls from them.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from the “Sky tech team,” which sounded dodgy to me. So, I rang Sky using a different official number I found online and asked them if they’d called me. They said they keep records of calls and hadn’t contacted me at all. That means this number isn’t Sky or scammers are pretending to be them using this number. Best tip: if you get a random call from Sky, don’t trust it right away - call Sky back on a verified number from their website instead.
