I received a prompt to call the same number mentioned earlier, as it was suggested that my computer might be infected with the ZEUS virus. However, given that I already have antivirus software installed, I opted against dialling 08008021308. Instead, I simply shut down my computer and restarted it, which successfully cleared the persistent message that wouldn’t disappear when I attempted to close the window.

I received a recommendation to ring the number mentioned earlier, as it was suggested my computer might be infected with the ZEUS virus. However, since I have an antivirus programme installed, I opted not to dial 08008021308. Instead, I simply switched off my computer and rebooted it to clear that persistent message, which wouldn't close no matter how hard I tried.

My elderly mother fell victim to a scam earlier this week, and it’s incredibly unsettling. I only discovered it when I received a frantic message from her claiming that her computer was infected with a virus and that she had spent two hours on the phone with someone trying to sort it out. It was the usual trick - a blank screen accompanied by a woman's voice insisting there was a virus and urging her to dial a number. Regrettably, she went ahead and did that. Thankfully, she doesn't have any banking or private information online, nor does she possess any credit cards, so thankfully they didn’t manage to fleece her. She found herself in such a predicament that she couldn’t even power down her laptop. Now she's understandably anxious about using the device again. It's appalling that people sink so low to perpetrate such scams; they really ought to be brought to justice.

I powered up my laptop only to be greeted by a rather loud female voice insisting that I shouldn't use my computer or make any online purchases due to some virus claiming residence on my device. The number 0800 802 1308 was prominently mentioned. Given that I already have proper virus protection installed, I immediately recognised this as a scam. I had to switch off the laptop altogether to silence that intrusive voice.

I've encountered a dodgy scam linked to a pop-up claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there’s an "error code S1L457." Whatever you do, don’t pick up the phone!

I would appreciate it if you could forward this grievance to the appropriate parties, as I firmly believe it to be a fraudulent scheme. If you could provide me with a contact number for a telephone or computer fraud hotline, I would gladly reach out to report this matter. Thank you ever so much!

I found myself in quite the predicament when I attempted to delete a certain nuisance - ultimately, I had to just power off my computer completely. In a moment of frustration, I gave the number a ring only to be met with a request for some sort of access for them to "resolve the issue." I wasn’t having any of that, though; I insisted on doing a bit of sleuthing first. They threw out the website www.easypechi as their supposed legitimate online presence (of all things!). Suffice it to say, it turned out to be a complete sham. It’s rather unsettling, especially for the elderly, who might easily get caught up in such antics. Fortunately, I managed to steer clear of their trap.

Beware of this financial con! An alarming message will suddenly appear on your display, accompanied by a voice claiming that your device is infected with the ZEUS virus, jeopardising your sensitive information. It’s crucial not to grant them any remote access to your machine. They'll inevitably demand a payment to 'resolve' this supposed issue. Stay vigilant and steer clear of their tricks!

I received an alert on my computer stating that I’d been compromised. In a moment of foolishness, I granted them access via a shared line. They wrapped up their spiel by claiming they could cleanse my system of viruses but demanded a hefty £119.99 for the service. I can’t help but feel I’ve fallen victim to a scam.

I was browsing the web when I was unexpectedly greeted by an automated message urging me to ring the number listed above. It claimed I had a Zeus virus and insisted I get in touch without delay, warning me against making any online purchases until I'd done so. They even provided me with a reference code for the call. Quite a peculiar experience, I must say!

A message claiming to be an “Emergency” number flashed up on my screen, stating that my system was compromised and urging me to phone for assistance. Does anyone know who this could be?
