I just received a call from the Ring Alarm system, notifying me of an alarm or medical alert. Quite handy, I must say!

This morning, I was rudely awakened by a call from 0800 802 1205. They left a voicemail prompting me to hit 1, followed by the # key, whereupon I was offered a selection of languages, including French and Spanish. At that point, it hit me that it was likely a scam, so I promptly blocked the number.

Just a quick note regarding the Ring Alarm alerts. Should you receive a call from this number, it likely means that someone has inadvertently plugged your phone number into their Ring Alarm system, causing its alarm to activate.

Fraud Alert - I experienced something similar to what’s mentioned earlier. They prompted me to press 1 if I’d taken their call. I decided to hang up and subsequently blocked the number.

I'm not entirely certain, as I couldn’t take the call, but I suspect it might be related to my Ring alarm. I accidentally opened the door without disabling it, which likely triggered something.

I got a rather suspicious recorded message asking me to press 1 to verify that I’d received the call. Honestly, I've no clue who it was from. It definitely didn’t sound trustworthy at all!

I've been getting calls from them on a daily basis, and they consistently leave voicemails urging me to hit 1 to acknowledge that I've received their call. It all feels rather dodgy, doesn't it? A proper caller would actually identify themselves and provide a clear message.
