Users describe frustration with unanswered ring attempts and concerns about how their numbers were obtained, especially if they have no children. I’ve just received a call from them, and to be honest, I’ve let a few of their attempts slide this week. We usually filter out any calls from unknown numbers, which means they’re caught by our call screening system. It’s rather annoying, to say the least, that they never leave any messages. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service and my number is ex-directory, plus I never disclose my home number online or on any platforms. How on earth have they got hold of my number? What steps can we take to eliminate this nuisance and who are we supposed to report it to?

Earlier today, we received a call from this number, but when we picked up, there was no response. I tried reaching out to express our concerns, but they insisted on obtaining our address, which we outright declined to provide. Quite the experience, if you ask me!

This lot provides books for children, and it’s likely they obtained your number via Bounty, which is that thing you receive while you’re in the hospital after giving birth and from your midwife.

I've had two calls from this number today, and I didn't bother answering the first one; it struck me as quite odd to see an 0800 number on my caller ID. I gave them a ring back straight away, but they hung up on me. Then I hit up a search engine to dig deeper into who they might be, and wouldn't you know it, they called again almost immediately! So, what's their deal? Who exactly are these folks, and what on earth do they want? It's all rather baffling, to be honest!

I encountered a rather persistent lot when I dealt with Grollier. Each time I've bought children's books from them, I found myself receiving several phone calls urging me to fork out for additional titles or to increase my monthly payment plans. They certainly know how to keep in touch!

We continually get calls from these individuals, and it's becoming rather tiresome. Thankfully, we've got Caller ID, so we filter all our calls through our answering machine. It's astonishing how many of these calls come through, and they really are quite infuriating, especially since they never leave a message. I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, yet these nuisance numbers still manage to slip through!

This number has been ringing us incessantly for the last two weeks! We’ve chosen to ignore their calls, and funnily enough, they never leave a message. It’s quite frankly baffling that they even have our number, especially since we've implemented a blocking feature through BT. We did attempt to return the call, but the “customer service” line was closed, leaving us none the wiser about who they are, although it struck us that the name GROLEA sounded very familiar. What a nuisance!

Lately, we’ve noticed a steady stream of calls from this number, but we’re not responding to the names that pop up on our caller ID. Curiously, not a single message has been left after all these attempts. We did end up buying some items from them, but we can’t help but regret that decision now.

I recently received a call from this lot, but they didn’t bother to leave a message, so I decided to look them up. I've previously used saynoto0870 for finding landline numbers, and I found the customer services number for Norwich Switchboard: 01603 740400. So, if you're planning to give them a ring to lodge a complaint or request removal from their list, feel free to use this number and mention the TPS while you're at it.

Many thanks, STU! We took the plunge and gave that number a bell to let them know we’re not keen on receiving calls from them, particularly since we’re on the TPS list. We also lodged a complaint with TPS for good measure. Oh, and just to add, this number seems to be linked to those Bounty packs we get when a little one arrives!

We received a call from this number last night and again earlier today while we were collecting our son from school. My wife answered, but the caller seemed unclear about who she was speaking to, as they wanted to discuss something with us. As soon as we dialled the number back, we were greeted by an automated system for Grolier, a company we’ve had absolutely no interaction with before. Quite odd, to say the least!

We've had a few phone calls from a withheld number, and honestly, every time we don't answer, they never leave a message. It's quite baffling, as we're with BT, and I can't quite figure out how they obtained our number. It's all a bit mysterious!

We've been receiving calls from these folks on a daily basis. The strange part is that we don’t have any kids, so we’re baffled as to how they got hold of our phone number.

I'm still getting calls from them. They never seem to leave a message, which feels more like harassment than anything else. What options do I have? Would it be more effective to report this if I do it all at once? By the way, do Ofcom oversee 0800 numbers?

We've had the exact same ordeal! These individuals never leave any messages. We’re registered with the telephone preference service, so there's no way they should have our number. It did sound a bit like the Grolia service centre is shut, but they provided a 0870 number you can call whenever you fancy. But, honestly, that’s quite unlikely to happen!

These individuals seem to call us every day, often up to four times. Each time we try to answer, they hang up right away.

We've had our fair share of run-ins with Grollier in the past. Despite explicitly asking them to take our number out of their system, we still find ourselves bombarded by their calls! It’s beyond frustrating! What on earth gives?

I've received around four calls from this number this week alone, with the latest one coming in at 09:10 this morning - quite excessive considering it’s the Sunday just before Christmas! Each time, it seems to be the same scenario: the call rings for a brief moment, then either cuts off or fails to leave a message on my answerphone. It's rather peculiar, to say the least!

It appears that OFCOM oversees these matters, but they seem rather reluctant to take any action unless there’s a significant outcry from the public. Perhaps you might want to reach out to the telecom provider directly. The number range 0800783xxxx belongs to BT.

I keep getting calls from this number on my mobile, and it’s become quite a nuisance. They ring a few times in a row and then go quiet for a bit. It’s really starting to wear me down!

This number has recently started calling us, even though our line is ex-directory and we're registered with TPS. It baffles me how these companies seem to get hold of my details and bother me daily. Seriously, something has to be done to put an end to this nuisance.

We've been inundated with calls from these individuals as well. Thanks to our Caller ID, we can filter our incoming calls and direct them to our answering machine. It's astonishing how many similar calls we receive, and they really do get on our nerves, especially when they neglect to leave any messages. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet these nuisance numbers keep getting through!
