Just got a call from this number and they hung up right away. Sounds to me like a call centre worker who's got targets to hit but isn't really interested in bothering with the sales talk. These places often use auto-diallers to push agents into calling loads of numbers, but they don’t really give them much reason to actually put effort into selling. Maybe the person was about to go on a break and didn’t want to get caught up in a long chat thanks to the automated system. Happens quite a bit with outbound call centres.

This number has rung me 5 times over the last couple of days, always missing me. Today, as I was around, I picked up and got a lady claiming to be from Vodafone. It all sounded okay at first, like she was offering a special deal, but the noise in the background was crazy, almost like they were having some kind of celebration or something. It made me suspicious, like it wasn’t a proper call or very professional at least. I asked why they kept calling me so much. Then she said I’d have to send over a passport or driving licence for the deal, which seemed really dodgy to me. I just hung up - didn’t feel right at all. It left me quite uneasy, to say the least.

Totally agree with what everyone’s saying here. I get loads of adverts and spam calls about stuff I couldn’t care less about, but the moment there’s an actual issue with my account, I’m stuck waiting ages on hold. Honestly, I’m not planning to renew my contract when it ends soon. It feels like they put more effort into pestering people to sign up, rather than helping the ones who already pay them. If Vodafone focused more on their existing customers instead of annoying potential ones, their reputation might not be so bad. They really need to sort this out fast before they lose more people.
