11 yearsI’m fed up with being unable to access my computer. Is there really no one out there who can put an end to all these hassles?11 yearsI really wish there was a way to sort out this bothersome issue once and for all!11 yearsI just can't seem to shake it off.11 yearsI experienced something quite similar recently, where a message popped up that limited my computer usage. Upon dialling the number, I ended up speaking to someone in an Indian call centre who claimed to be affiliated with Microsoft. When I inquired about potential costs, he mentioned that there might be charges based on the nature of the issue. I let him know I was using McAfee for security, but he dismissed it as insufficient. He then proceeded to ask for my name and the details of my internet service provider. At that point, I decided to disconnect the call and started digging for more information. After restarting my computer, the troublesome message has vanished, yet I'm still uneasy about the possibility of a virus lurking around. McAfee reassures me that everything is secure, but I can't help but wonder: if this turns out to be a scam, how did they manage to bypass my protections? And why didn’t McAfee stop them from disrupting my system in the first place?MicrosoftMcAfee11 yearsI encountered a rather alarming pop-up while browsing on Google, claiming I might be infected with a perilous virus and instructed me to call the aforementioned number. Subsequently, I found myself unable to access Google. So, I switched to Internet Explorer to look up the number on the 'Who is calling me?' service. I'm currently using McAfee, although it seems to overlook quite a few threats, and my computer keeps notifying me that it doesn’t get along with Norton. Regardless, I promptly restarted my computer as per the guidance provided on this site.
