Naturally, I found it a bit dodgy since I actually have an unlimited plan. So, I did a bit of digging. Turns out, they’re attempting to fish for your BT ID under the guise of upgrading you to an unlimited plan. Clearly, their endgame is to scrounge your bank details for this so-called upgrade. They lure you in by enticing you with links in bright red, or by prompting you to dial an 0800 number that isn’t even affiliated with BT. Don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes; the email might look quite legit, but be cautious! I recommend reporting it to BT and blocking the sender right away.BT8 yearsI received an email from this number indicating that we were close to our broadband usage cap.
