Blimey, I was waiting for an important call when I picked up my mobile to this number. A chap on the other end was after some bloke and, after I told him he’d dialed the wrong one, he recited my number back to me. He insisted there was no one around by that name. He seemed quite polite, saying sorry and thanking me for picking up the phone. Definitely had a foreign accent, possibly German. Now I’m feeling a bit uneasy, wondering if I’ve unwittingly stirred up trouble. How can I safeguard my number from potential hassle? Any advice would be much appreciated!
