had a call for my elderly mum earlier today but, lucky me, i picked up instead! this guy called 'stefan', sounded like he was from asia or somewhere, kept on going about some insurance renewal with domestic and general and said they could offer it cheaper. when i asked for the policy number he just kept repeating the same spiel over and over. real pushy bloke. i made it very clear we don’t have any insurance with them and don’t want any. told him straight if they keep bothering my mum, we’ll have to report it to the police.

Oh, these annoying lot have popped up again. Honestly, the best way is just to either block them or simply not answer when they call. Easy peasy!

Today I got a call from someone named Anna Martin who wanted to offer a cheaper TV insurance deal. She then passed me over to another person who asked for my 16 digit card number to arrange a direct debit. I mentioned that actually they need the sort code and account number to do that, but she insisted the rules had changed. I found that odd, especially as I work at a bank (which I actually don’t). After I said that, she just suddenly ended the call. Don’t fall for this one.

My mum, who suffers from dementia and can barely see, got a call from them. Luckily, one of our family caught her just as she was about to hand over her bank details. She was so determined to get their number that my brother decided to call them the following day to figure out who they were. But they wouldn’t share any details unless my brother provided some kind of password. Funny how they had no trouble trying to take money from my mum without one. In the end, they just put my brother on hold and never came back on the line.

I never get a proper call, just a voicemail that I have to pay to hear! Blocking these numbers doesn't seem to do any good either. Does anyone know how to actually put an end to this?

this phone number has been ringing me every single day for nearly a week now. no clue why this firm keeps trying to get hold of me or why it only leaves a voicemail without showing up on my call list with a number. i’m not going to call them back; their message sounds pushy and rude. also, why should i have to ring them just to tell them to stop calling? shouldn’t there be an easier way to block them? i’ve never heard of this company before and definitely didn’t ask to get unsolicited calls like this.
