2 yearsLast week, my sister got a call from someone claiming to be from a medical health service. She only gave them her address, not any bank info, but they kept pushing and wouldn't accept no for an answer, saying it was an upgrade to the pendant she already has. Then today, she got a letter saying she’d signed up and the pendant's on its way. It’s clearly a scam. They keep switching phone numbers too. I told her not to accept the package if it comes through Royal Mail.Royal Mail2 yearsGot a call out of the blue today from someone offering a better deal on my drainage insurance. They were asking for my bank details, seemed like they already knew some stuff about me. I wasn’t about to give my account number over the phone, so I said no, then she just ended the call.2 yearsTotal scam, they had the nerve to ask my mother-in-law for her bank info. Just hang up straight away!2 yearsThis number called one of my relatives out of the blue, talking about a fall alarm and then asking for bank details to supposedly set up a direct debit. We've tried looking up the company, Pendant Alarm Services, but there’s no trace of it anywhere. Seems really dodgy to me.–Pendant Alarm Services2 yearsToday, 7th Feb 2024, my mum got a call from someone who said he was Sam from a medical aid company. He claimed that since she just turned 70, she might want a fall detection pendant or bracelet. Thankfully, we'd warned her loads of times not to agree to anything over the phone. She told "Sam" she needed to check with us first. Then he suddenly said he understood and mentioned he’d given this number because there are plenty of scammers around. Quite fishy if you ask me!Sam2 yearsGot a call out of nowhere selling those emergency alert pendants. They tried to get my bank info, which just felt dodgy, especially since they were pushing it on my elderly mum. Definitely seemed off to me.2 yearsI got a call from a guy who said his name was Sam and claimed he worked for a company that sells medical alert alarms. He mentioned I’d been flagged as someone older who might need a fall detector pendant. When I asked for his contact number, he told me it was 0800 653 5048, but my phone was actually showing a different number, 0141 673 5139. He kept insisting the pendant was going to be free, but I just told him I wasn’t interested and he hung up.SamSubmit Your Own Report (0800 652 5048)
