My mum’s computer got blocked, any idea what’s going on?

So my daughter got this alert pop up on her laptop saying it was hacked and her credit card info was at risk. They asked for £50 to sort it out. Luckily she rang me straight away, and I told her to just ignore and hang up - it was a total scam. I told her to use "Adware Medic," which Apple recommended when I had an issue with my computer, and that fixed everything without any payment. Glad she didn’t fall for their trick!

Has anyone got any idea who runs this number? I keep getting these alerts saying I need to contact it because my computer’s been hacked or something and my personal stuff might be in danger. It’s really worrying but I’m not sure if it’s legit or just a scam.
