Got a call from someone saying they were from EE, but they had the wrong number (I’m on a plan with my mum’s phone as well). Pretty sure it was a scam attempt.

So this number, 08006406637, rang me up saying they were from O2 offering a quick 30% discount on my next bill. Seemed dodgy to me. When I questioned where they got my contact, they said it was from their company’s database. I then asked to speak to someone who could clarify that, and the person said ‘She’s not available at the moment.’ They tried pushing the offer again but I just ended the call. Total con if you ask me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, offering me a free upgrade. When I said I’m not an O2 customer, they quickly switched to saying they wanted to move my contract over because they had better prices. They asked for my email and tried to tempt me with a free phone if I transferred and gave them my bank details. Totally a scam - don’t hand over any of your info to these people!
