An old mate of mine got a call from this number. She asked who it was a couple of times, and each time they just shouted for her to either pass the person they wanted to talk to or hang up. She just ended up hanging the phone up.

A bloke said he was calling from Lloyds and gave his name as James. When I asked him what he wanted, he just told me I was a ####!

I received a call where the person on the line requested to speak to me directly by name. When I inquired about their identity, they bluntly instructed me to either connect them to someone else or to "get lost" and hang up. Naturally, I ended the call right there.

Got a dodgy call where the person said they were from my bank. When I rang up the real bank's fraud team, they had no idea what I was talking about. Definitely scam, beware!

Someone claiming to be Paul Butler, who said he was the Fraud Operations Director at Barclays in Stevenage, got in touch with me. He told me there had been an attempt to move £20,000 from a charity account I manage as treasurer. When I mentioned that was unlikely, he quickly switched focus and warned about my personal account, saying it was at risk of identity fraud. He urged me to transfer £20,000 to another account before 6pm, as that sum was supposedly scheduled to be paid out. He tried to cover every question I asked, but nothing he said really added up. In the end, I checked with my bank, and they had no clue about any payment like that at all.
