Got a call from someone saying they were Santander, then they just hung up. Used 1471 to check the number. Rang Santander from another phone and they said that the number is legit and belongs to their fraud team, but the call to me was a mistake - someone must have dialled the wrong digit.

Got a call from Santender's security folks about a payment they suspected was dodgy. They asked me for a 3 digit code to prove it was me, then they checked over my last few purchases to make sure none were fishy.

This is defo a legit Santander fraud call. It’s all automated. They won’t try to get any info off you that could mess you up, just ask you to confirm your date of birth from like 4 options and check a transaction.

Absolutely certain this is Santander UK. I just received a call from them; it was their security team on the line. Do exercise caution, though, as there are scammers out there who might impersonate this number. Remember, genuine banks will never request personal information over the phone.
