This afternoon I received a letter from carrington henshaw, the same as others mentioned here. After reading through the comments here (thanks so much for all the info), it seems like since we’ve blocked their scam calls, they’re now trying to reach us by post. Just a heads up to everyone. There was a typo in my name! They also included confidential info and a reference number. When I looked up Carrington Henshaw, I found this link: http://www.braithwaitejones.co.uk/terms.html, but it’s just a page saying they’re not responsible for anything on their site. Seriously, avoid clicking on that one! Anonymous.

Received a letter this morning dated 13/01/2018 from Carrington Henshaw asking me to ring them on 08006226696. At the foot of the letter there's another number, 01724713932, along with an address at Sovereign House, Arkwright Way, Sc***horpe, DN16 1AL. Definitely steer clear of this, looks like a proper scam to me.

I’m feeling pretty uneasy after ringing that number. They just asked for my date of birth and claimed some firm got in touch about handling my PPI. Not sure what the next step is. They’re mailing me a document to sign, but after seeing everyone’s experiences here, I reckon it’s just heading straight for the bin. Note to self: always research the company first before picking up the phone.

I phoned yesterday and spoke to a young lady who was explaining stuff I found a bit confusing. I asked if she could send me something in writing, but she told me to check their website and said she’d give me another call in a few days. I’ve had a look online but still not sure about it. After reading other people’s experiences, it sounds a bit dodgy to me. Being 80 years old, I do feel a bit exposed and unsure about the whole thing.
