My dad, who is 82, bought a call blocker from Home Guard UK Limited but it’s completely useless. The annoying calls just keep coming and they constantly push him to pay extra. When I tried talking to them, they were really impolite and even hung up on me. They keep calling from different numbers, sometimes a mobile, and if you try to call back, no one picks up. It’s been really frustrating.

My elderly neighbour got a call from some company called homeguard-uk limited pushing a call blocker thing for £98. When we tried ringing them back, no one picked up. I looked them up online and found lots of bad reviews saying they mostly go after older and vulnerable folks. I heard Bournemouth trading standards know about this lot too.
