Someone saying they were from D&G called me, trying to talk to the policy holder about supposed new additions to the policy. I told him to send any details through the post, but he refused and insisted on speaking directly to the policy holder. When I pressed him again, he just hung up. The man spoke really well, very clear English. If this was a legit call from D&G, they'd certainly have to provide any policy changes in writing by law. Definitely a scam, so I've blocked the number.

I got a call on my mobile from a lady speaking with a northeast accent. She claimed to be from Domestic and General, asking about putting extra appliances on my plan. Somebody rang saying they were from Argos and mentioned D&G, saying they were checking appliances or something like that. They then started chatting about a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner. I've never bought a washing machine from Argos, and they couldn’t even say which brand the vacuum was. It felt like a total con, and my daughter spotted it straight away after I’d told them my full name and where I live. These D&G people keep ringing me back, but whenever I pick up, they just cut the call. They've been blowing up my phone quite a bit lately, and I always ignored them. Honestly, it feels like harassment with all these pointless calls where no one even talks.

I got a call from that number but I didn't answer it since I didn't recognise who it was. It just rang once and then stopped.

A person rang up saying they wanted to verify the insurance on my TV, asking if my info was still up to date. Problem is, I got the TV nearly three years back, and no one has ever contacted me about insuring it before.
