Looks like a warranty scam to me. Got a postcard with a number to ring, and when I called, I actually believed they were genuine at first and gave them my VIN. Then they asked for the last 13 digits of my credit card, which was a big red flag.

All the comments here are quite intriguing. We had a new washing machine arrive today and I rang D&G to cancel the insurance on the old one. So it might not be a scam exactly, more like a follow-up trying to get people to keep their insurance. I didn’t pick up as the number wasn’t familiar.
