8 yearsI just got a new laptop and was trying to set up Office Student and Home. After putting in my product key, a message popped up telling me there was an issue and to call a number provided. I ended up on the phone for over an hour with someone claiming to be a ‘technician’ who took remote control of my computer. He told me I had some kind of spam blocking the activation and pushed me to buy their ‘security software’ for £169.00. Once I declined, he abruptly ended the call.
