I received a rather alarming call, claiming that my computer was compromised. They wanted a staggering £320 to not only tidy it up but also to install protective software. To top it off, they insisted I ring this number monthly for ongoing checks. It didn't stop there, as they subsequently stated that my device was at risk again and requested additional funds to install even more security software. Quite the conundrum, if you ask me!

This really feels like a legit support number.

Got a call from 02032392744, claiming to be BT and saying there was an issue with my email. When I asked for a way to verify it was really BT, they gave me this 08005200151 number. Turns out the 020 number is already flagged as dodgy, so definitely avoid calling the 0800 one as well.
