This bloke said he was from the local Amazon delivery team and wanted to sort out a missed package. Problem was, I wasn’t waiting for anything from Amazon and nothing showed on my account either. He asked for my name to 'check my details'. When I told him to jog on and called him a scammer, he just ended the call. I might’ve been a bit blunt but I work night shifts and he literally woke me up!

I tried calling this number but kept getting a message saying I couldn’t call it from my country. About a year ago my account got hacked and I tried loads of ways to get in touch with them. I did actually speak to someone last year who promised to fix everything, but nothing was ever sorted. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Amazon to anyone - their customer service is terrible.

This guy claimed to be from Amazon and said the call was recorded, asked me to confirm my name. I asked why he was calling since Amazon already messed up my delivery and said my address was missing - spoke to their online chat and they’re sending it again now. Then he calls and says he’s calling to sort out the re-delivery problem. I told him that was already sorted and it’s meant to arrive today. It all felt a bit dodgy, but he said he’d send me an email... and sure enough, I got an email about the re-delivery. The whole call felt pretty strange though.

Some folks here reckon it’s a legit Amazon number, fair enough. But scammers can easily spoof the same digits, which explains why there’s a jumble of good and bad feedback here. Got calls from it twice today, plus on a different line as well. Gotta admit, they’re quite tenacious! My approach is if a number pops up without a name attached, it’s not in my contacts so I just don’t pick up. If it’s important or a real person, they can leave a voicemail. Easy as that.

Looks like a legit Amazon number but it's actually faked by scammers. They attempted to charge me for renewing my Amazon Prime, which isn’t due for ages. I also had no pending deliveries. Scammers can easily pretend to be real companies by using their numbers. So just because it looks like it’s from Amazon, doesn’t guarantee it’s really them, particularly if you aren't expecting any parcels. I’d stay very wary about it. I got a voicemail saying they need to talk to me about an Amazon delivery and that they’d follow up with an email, but so far no email has come through, plus I’m not waiting on any parcels from Amazon anyway.

Got a call from someone who clearly learnt their English off American TV shows. They said they were from Amazon, mentioned some delivery, then asked me to confirm ‘who am I speaking with?’ I asked them who they thought they were supposed to be talking to? They couldn’t give me an answer. When I asked for the last letter of my postcode, they said ‘can’t give you that info’. Super dodgy. Ended the call. How do I report this to the police? I’m sure the site has IP addresses of folks insisting this is legit. Clearly a scam, so the cops can track them down through that too.

An actual Amazon rep rang me up to tell me my package hadn’t been loaded onto the delivery van.

Just had a chat with a really nice guy from the Amazon Delivery hub about re-sending my package - definitely legit Amazon. He never asked for any of my info, was aware of the mix-up from yesterday, and was just confirming when it’d arrive today.

Got a call pretending to be from Amazon about a delivery and asking for my details. I’m not expecting anything and always check my deliveries myself. Also, Amazon doesn’t have my landline number saved. I told them to send any info to my Amazon email instead. Of course, no email ever came through. Pretty obvious scam, steer clear!

They say they're from Amazon but keep asking me to verify stuff they should already know. Amazon told me that number’s not theirs and they would never ask for info like that on a call. Feels like a scam to me, so watch out for those glowing reviews - might be fake to fool you.

Got a call from Amazon delivery saying my package got damaged on the way. They told me they’ve ordered a replacement but the delivery will be delayed by a day because of it. Bit annoying but at least they’re sorting it.

Total scam, watch out. Don’t give any info on the phone. Just tell him you’ll ring Amazon yourself and he’ll usually drop the call.
