Got a message supposedly from MBNA telling me to call them straight away about some Visa stuff. Thing is, I don't have any account or Visa with them at all. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

On 26th September 2022, I got a text claiming to be from Halifax. I looked at our shared Halifax account and saw nothing had moved in about seven months - no alerts or transactions - plus the number on the message wasn’t theirs. In the UK, if you get texts like this, best to send them to https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report-phishing and don’t reply by text or call.
