My husband, bless him, isn't the most tech-savvy individual, phoned this number and spoke with a chap named "Henry." He claimed there was an attempt to compromise our computer, insisting we should purchase some sort of security software. My husband, quite rightly, mentioned that I’m the one who handles all tech matters around here, to which "Henry" promptly replied, “Do ring me again later, and I’ll assist you.” Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I stumbled upon this number while surfing the web, and a rather alarming message popped up. It read, "Attention BT Public Internet Service User: Your personal emails, banking credentials, and sensitive information, including credit card details, may be compromised! Numerous high-risk infections found, urgently contact Windows Certified Tech Support at 0-800-410-1026 (Toll-Free high priority)!"

My screen completely froze, so I had no choice but to do a hard restart. Upon booting up my computer again, everything seemed fine. Now I’m running a comprehensive virus scan to be on the safe side.
