Got a call from a bloke with a really heavy Indian accent saying he was from my internet company, but when I asked which one, he just kept saying “your provider”. Got a call from someone saying they were with Virgin Media. They already knew loads about me, like my name and what package I have. The voice was really crackly and bad quality though. Then the call just dropped straight away, so no idea what the whole thing was about.

Got a few calls lately from this number claiming to be Virgin Media. The bloke on the phone had loads of my details - my name, email, address, what plan I’m on, how much I pay, even when my contract finishes. He was trying to pitch me a new deal. I said I’d just ring up Virgin myself, and he ended the call straight away. Sounded like an Indian guy. After that, I looked up Virgin Media and discovered that around 900,000 customers had their info exposed because of some settings mistake earlier this year. Hadn’t heard about that before!

Back in January 2022, I got scammed out of £2000 by someone using this number. If you ever get a ring from ‘Virgin Media’ and you weren’t waiting for a call, just hang up straight away. They’re definitely not legit Virgin Media, just a bunch of scammers. I was actually waiting for a Virgin Media call and got caught out, so please be careful and don’t fall for the same trick!

This number rings me up almost daily. Usually it’s just dead silence, but today someone actually talked - sounded dodgy and claimed to be from Virgin. When I asked them to give me the last four digits of my account to prove it, they immediately ended the call. Total scammer behaviour.

This number has been ringing me every day over the past week. Yesterday alone, I ended up speaking to them four separate times. I didn’t share any details but made it clear, politely at first, that I’d call voicemail if I needed to hear from them. Later, they kept ringing nonstop until nearly 9pm, and I wasn’t so polite then. It’s beginning to feel like I’m being hounded. If Virgin Media has any connection to these callers, it’s definitely damaging their image.

I keep getting calls from this number nearly the same time each day, feels like an automated thing. Whenever I answer, there’s just silence on the other end. Had to block it. Would really advise everyone to avoid this one.

I’ve had about 3 or 4 calls from this lot saying they're from Virgin Media. Today they rang again, pretending to be from VM, but I told them to stop and not to ring me anymore. I’ve blocked their number, but I’m sure they’ll just try again using some other number.

Got a call on my pay as you go number, which isn’t widely known. They started trying to sell me a deal with voicemail, just rambling on. When they asked for my address, I said I’d stopped using voicemail like two years back, then they just dropped the call. Plus, calling me mister straight off was a bit suspicious, felt like a scam from the start.
