They claimed to be from BT, but the call disconnected abruptly. After perusing some other websites, I've found that they're likely just cold calling. As I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I’ll make sure to report them if they try to reach me again.

Just got a call from this number, a bloke named Jordan claiming to be from BT. He asked for the account holder and kept going on about the data protection act. If he really worked for BT, surely he’d know who the account belonged to. They had our last name but no idea of the first names or who actually owns the account. He started saying there was another device or service running on my account. I told him straight up he was a scammer and hung up. Could hear office noises in the background as well.

Called me at 15.45 today but hung up before I could pick up. I’ve already got a landline, broadband and mobile plan with BT, so I can’t see what else they're trying to sell. Why don’t these cold callers understand? If I want a better deal, I can look it up myself without their “assistance”.

Even though I've put this number on my blocked list, they have the audacity to call me at least thrice daily. I can tell it's them because I only get a single ring. Their persistence is quite remarkable, really! If they wish to squander their time phoning me, be my guest - they won't catch me picking up!

People keep asking about the folks who had this number before me, even though I've had it for like 3 years now! I always tell them to take my number off their list. Today, a lady asked again about the previous owners, I said I didn’t know, then she asked if someone who handles the bills was around. I said no, told her once more to delete my number then ended the call. They’ve been ringing for weeks, but I was actually in today :-(

[#][#]parseq[###]/ Got a call from this number again tonight, spoke to the caller but didn’t share any info and told him the person he was looking for wasn’t available (which was me). He claimed to be from BT, but sounded dodgy. Just to check I rang the number back and got an automated message saying it's for the company mentioned, which offers multi channel services to help businesses improve. Thing is, I’m just a regular person, no business here, so they’re clearly barking up the wrong tree. The company is apparently based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

I forgot to mention that when I answered the call and asked what it was regarding, the person said it was about landline and broadband. No way am I falling for that! If I wanted a better deal, I’d get in touch with my provider myself, not the other way round. I’m sorry for marking this one safe even though it’s a legitimate company working for BT. They shouldn’t be passing on my number when I’m EX DIRECTORY. As far as BT is concerned, this is a breach of the Data Protection Act and I could report them for it.

Got a call from this number around 2.44pm today. I’m really pleased I looked it up here first - seeing the comments showed it’s just cold calling. It rang for quite a bit, but by the time I went to answer, they’d already hung up. Was sat at my computer when it happened.

They've rung me three times straight, I didn't pick up 'cause I knew it was one of those BT sales calls. They try to push an upgrade on your phone deal and get really annoyed when you say no thanks. But if you wanted a better contract, surely you'd sort it yourself? Fed up with getting calls about all sorts - PPI, solar panels, better deals on everything. I can manage my own stuff without these pestering me. Proper nuisance.

I received a call whilst I was behind the wheel, and the audio quality was quite poor through my Bluetooth. I mentioned that I was content with my current Sky service and bid farewell. Just before the line went dead, I caught him muttering something along the lines of “bloody w*****!” Charming individuals, indeed.
