My phone buzzed a couple of times and then went silent. Just another pesky caller, I suppose!

This number is definitely bogus! I got an email urging me to ring it to put a halt to a dodgy payment linked to my PayPal account. Total scam, if you ask me!

I got an identical email myself, asking for three payments of £867.99 from me - how brazen! I chose not to ring the number since it seemed a bit suspicious. Just a heads up: make sure to CANCEL that payment request on PayPal and steer clear of calling the number listed on the invoice. If you can, report them to PayPal as well. Once you cancel the payment, that’s it - they won’t see a penny.

I had a similar experience happen to me, precisely the same situation.

I had a rather unsettling experience that echoes what others have mentioned. I got an email purportedly from PayPal, claiming there was a request for £867 from someone named Tammy Garnett, who I’ve never encountered before. Immediately, I hopped onto my PayPal app and nixed the payment. I've gone ahead and blocked the email sender, too. Plus, I've flagged it as phishing with PayPal. Erased the email without engaging with any links. It’s clearly fraudulent activity. Stay vigilant, folks!

Received a dodgy request for payment via PayPal, instructing us to ring this number for assistance. The phone number was formatted like this: +44-800-368-9757. The email appeared to originate from the "Sent" address of [email protected] and bore an uncanny resemblance to something that would typically come from PayPal.

I received a rather dodgy message from this number, clearly trying to swindle me out of a hefty amount of cash. Beware, it's definitely a scam!

I received a notification from PayPal indicating that an unfamiliar payment had been authorised and suggesting I contact a specific number. Intrigued, I called, believing it to be legitimate. The person on the other end had all my details, which raised my suspicions. When I probed them about my credit card, they became defensive. I pressed further, questioning if they were scammers, and abruptly, the line went dead. Quite dodgy behaviour if you ask me!

Received a dodgy email stating there was some shady goings-on with my PayPal account, which included a phone number. The email was supposedly from PayPal.co.uk, but as we all know, the legitimate site is PayPal.com. I chose not to ring the number, as it was clearly a scam.

I received a rather dodgy PayPal request from someone named "Mkeyla Reid," asking for a rather peculiar sum of £899.99. The message claimed there was some "SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY" on my account and urged me to call immediately at +44-800-368-9757. Naturally, I binned the request and had no intention of ringing them-a classic scam, if ever I saw one!

I must advise you strongly against calling this number. I recently received an email that appeared to be from PayPal, claiming there was an unusual transaction linked to my account and instructing me to ring this particular number. Beware, for these are fraudsters at work! They masquerade as PayPal representatives, asking for my email and then insisting I provide the security code that popped up on my phone as a means of verification. The voice on the other end sounded like it was from a call centre, which lent a sense of credibility to the situation, but I found the operator's English quite poor and difficult to understand. Feeling a twinge of doubt, I hung up, only to discover I couldn’t access my PayPal account afterwards. Thankfully, I swiftly reset my password and regained control, but it could have easily spiralled out of control, especially as they were attempting to siphon off £900. I never imagined I would be caught in such a scheme, but their tactics are surprisingly convincing!

Just a short while ago, I encountered a very similar situation to what others have reported. Thankfully, I caught on to the fact that it was a scam. I quickly logged into my PayPal account and rejected the request, which has now been successfully cancelled. Quite infuriating, to say the least! 😠

The message accompanying the request claimed, “SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY DETECTED IN YOUR ACCOUNT. £899.99 HAS BEEN CHARGED, PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY ON +44-800-368-9757." I encountered a similar problem not long ago, roughly an hour in fact. My top tip would be to transfer any funds you have in your PayPal back to your bank account. After you've done that, hop onto your PayPal app and take out any card information and account specifics stored under the "wallet" section. It's a smart move to prevent any hacking attempts. Stay safe, everyone!

I received a rather dubious request from a number linked to what seems to be an elaborate scam. It was a message claiming to be from "Joseph Slezak" (likely a made-up identity), demanding an immediate payment of £899.99 via PayPal, alongside a rather urgent warning that suspicious activity had been detected in my account. The message included a rather dire instruction to phone them right away at +44-800-368-9757. This is clearly a fraudulent attempt to dupe unsuspecting individuals. It’s crucial to remain vigilant regarding your banking details and transaction histories-you’ll soon realise that it’s a ruse that ought to be reported and blocked forthwith.

There's a dodgy scheme going around that exploits the PayPal "request money" function. Has anyone chosen to "Decline" a payment request on PayPal, then? ALERT FROM CHAI SHOSHANA: UNUSUAL ACTIVITY DETECTED IN YOUR ACCOUNT - WE'VE CHARGED 899.99 GBP. PLEASE PHONE US AT +44-800-368-9757 STRAIGHTAWAY TO DISCUSS THIS.
