8 yearsI've gotten messages from this number a couple of times, claiming its Argos asking me to register my account with them and to ring the number they gave. When I called, a woman picked up but seemed a bit dodgy. I told her I don’t have an account, and when I asked how she got my details, she suddenly said the line was bad and I was breaking up. The whole thing felt off, so I'd recommend blocking the number and ignoring any messages or calls. Definitely looks like a scam.Argos8 yearsI keep getting calls about an Argos account, which I've never signed up for. Seriously, if you get a call like this, just ignore it! It’s dodgy and nothing to do with me. Don't bother answering or calling back!8 yearsThis number just sent me a message about some Argos account, which is strange considering I’ve never opened one there. Definitely a scam, watch out!Argos10 yearsTotally a scam, just block it.10 yearsGot this call around 6pm today. I don't even have an account with Barclays, so I just called back for a sec and ended the call straight away.Barclays10 yearsGot a dodgy text today from what said Barclays about some £1800 spent at PC World. Got the messages about 6pm and then another one around 7:20pm. Definitely smells like a scam to me.BarclaysPC World10 yearsGot a dodgy text saying I approved a £1800 payment to PC World. Used Barclays’ legit number checker on their site, blocked the number and just moved on. Stay safe everyone! :DBarclaysPC WorldBest10 yearsI had the same experience. They basically push you to call that number since there's no other way. Thankfully I'm not a Barclays customer, but if you are, I wouldn’t recommend using the number they send in the message. Best bet is to just delete it, block the sender, and not bother. If you’re concerned, just ring Barclays directly on their official line.Barclays10 yearsJust got a call like that too, literally at 18:01.10 yearsSomeone called me saying there’s suspicious activity on my bank account, claiming there was a attempted payment of £1800 to PC WORLD. They then told me to call a certain number right away. Felt really dodgy to me.10 yearsGot a call at 6 in the evening UK time from a number saying it was about £1800 from PC World. They asked me to send a text for a fraud check and then call back. When I rang, a message from “the safety department” answered. Then it said to press another button to continue, which sounded like where the scam might kick in. I didn’t go any further and just ended the call there.UKPC WorldSubmit Your Own Report (0800 321 3018)
