Got a call from this number saying they were from O2 offering some sort of upgrade deal. It’s the second time they’ve rung me today and honestly, it’s starting to get really annoying. I’m proper fed up with this now.

Some bloke rang me up trying to sell an iPhone 11 at a crazy good price. It felt a bit dodgy, so I told him to ring back in 10 minutes, pretending I had someone at the door. As soon as I got off, I checked the number online and, sure enough, it was a scam. Honestly, these days I’m nervy about picking up calls from unknown numbers.

Earlier on, I received a missed call on my SIM card that was slotted in my iPad! After doing a bit of sleuthing, it seems it was a dodgy outfit masquerading as Carphone Warehouse. It strikes me as rather pathetic that they’re resorting to such underhanded tactics to reach out to people! My contract isn’t even close to being up for renewal, so their attempt at an excuse falls flat. I've gone ahead and flagged the number with my network provider as a scammer.

Today, on 02-11-2020 around 11.45am, I got a call from someone called Alex claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. He was pushing an amazing deal on the Samsung S20 and even sent me an email. Then he asked for my card details for a credit check. I told him to just send me a link so I could set it up on my own, but he said no, it's against company rules. That’s when I declined to give any info. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!
