I got a letter in the post saying it was from British Gas, threatening to get a warrant to enter my home over an unpaid bill, but for an address that’s not mine. I called British Gas using the number I found on their official website and they told me straight away it was a phishing scam. The number on the letter was 0800 316 1542, which definitely wasn’t legit.
