8 yearsI've had this number relentlessly ringing my phone for the past five days! It's been one call after the other. I've even set up call protection to block them, yet they still manage to get through. They were ringing until six last night and kicked off again at eight this morning. It's absolutely appalling how these individuals continue to harass, especially with Christmas around the corner.11 yearsI stumbled upon this number claiming to be AOL customer support. Curiosity got the better of me, so I rang them up. To my shock, a chap on the other end accessed my computer and proceeded to inform me that a hacker from California had compromised my machine. He insisted I cough up £130 for a year’s worth of Microsoft security services. Naturally, I declined. Little did I know it wasn’t really AOL. Now I’m in a bit of a pickle, as my computer won’t update Windows properly, and I suspect some registry settings might have been tampered with.AOLCaliforniaMicrosoftLittle11 yearsRecently, I reached out to my network provider, EE, because I was having issues with my Gmail password. The assistant, Mary, suggested that I should contact Gmail at 08002796226. When I dialled that number, a technician named David Watson took control of my computer and then shockingly asked for £375 to prevent fraudsters from Canada from gaining access. I can't help but feel that this entire operation might be a scam itself!EEMaryDavid WatsonCanada11 yearsHas anyone else been getting calls from this number?Submit Your Own Report (0800 279 6226)
