Got a call from these lot just moments after I put up an ad on Gumtree, pretty sure its a scam. Reported it to the police but I doubt anything will come of it. Stay clear of them!

I had put my car up for sale on Gumtree, then got a call from this number 080029092010 which was blocked. The caller claimed to be from the law department saying I'd been in some kind of accident. I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

Right after I put up my car advert on Gumtree, I got a call real quick from someone asking if the car had been in an accident.

nah, i haven’t been in any crash or anything like that.

I'm so fed up with getting calls telling me I've been in some accident. I kept telling them I hadn't, but they just kept going on like I did. Proper rude to be honest. I'll report them to TPS, though I’m not sure they’ll actually sort it out.

Looks like yet another scam pretending to be about a car crash.

this person was just repeating 'hello' over and over, sounded like a call centre from abroad. i wasn’t having it, I just told them to shove off.

I couldn't pick up, and after voicemail started, the caller hung about for a few seconds but didn't say anything. It kinda sounded like it was coming from a call centre in the background.

Got a missed call but no voicemail or anything. I just put up a car ad on Gumtree, so I figured it was probably some sort of scam and didn’t pick up.
