Got a recorded call telling me to press 1 for critical info about COVID-19, total scam alert. Saw some reviews saying the same number was used for credit card fraud too. Best thing to do is just ignore it and don’t press anything!

Got a dodgy recorded voicemail on my answerphone saying my card’s been cancelled and to press 1 to fix it. Waited a bit, didn’t press anything ’cause it’s an answerphone, then some bloke with an Asian accent answered, said “thank you for calling, how can I help you?” then hung up. Told Barclays Fraud team about it, but these calls go way back over a year, so I doubt they’ll actually do anything. Surely BT could just check who’s behind these 0800 numbers, it can’t be that hard.

Just a heads up! I received a recorded message regarding our banking account, mentioning some dubious activity. Quite concerning!

Just like many others, I got an automated call with no details about any bank. They hung up on me, so I saved the number. I called the bank myself and told them about it - turns out, this number isn’t theirs at all. If you can, block it straight away.

I got one of those robo calls saying it was from my bank, so I called the number back just to check it out. Someone picked up but obviously didn’t know which bank I actually use. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a dodgy phone call where a recorded voice claimed my bank card was cancelled and asked me to press 1. I did, and then a bloke with a foreign accent answered and somehow already knew my name. Be warned, never share info like your sort code or bank details with these calls. I rang my bank straight away and luckily my card was fine. Reported the call as a scam.

Got a call on my landline again today from 08002361294. It was an automated voice telling me my cards were cancelled because of some suspicious activity, but didn’t say which bank. The message just said to press 1 for more info, sounded really vague. This has been happening pretty much every day this week, always about 1pm. Quite annoying!

Got a call claiming it was Barclays about some dodgy charges on my card. Told them I don’t even have an account with Barclays and as soon as I said that, the bloke just ended the call.

Just like everyone else said before, it baffles me that neither the government nor the phone providers take any real action to put an end to these scam calls. They really should be doing more to protect us from these crooks.

Got this weird call with a robotic voice saying something about my card, but they never said which bank it was from. They asked me to press 1 for more info, but I just ended the call right there. I rang my actual bank afterwards and everything's alright. Looks like a dodgy scam to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Lloyd’s bank, with an automated voice telling me my card had been cancelled and to press 1 to talk to someone. Then a person said they were from the fraud team at Lloyd’s. When I asked why they were calling me, the bloke just hung up. Definitely a scam.

Somebody called saying they were from the fraud squad, asking my folks if they'd lost any cash. Can't stand those annoying calls that just keep coming through.

On 30th May 2018, some scammers rang up my elderly mum pretending to be from a bank. They were trying to convince her to let them take control of her computer and get her to install some dodgy software. Luckily, she’s deaf and couldn’t follow what they wanted her to do on the computer, or else it could have been a right mess. Turns out they were just crooks trying to scam her.

This person said they were from the bank, but when I asked some questions, they got all defensive and angry before just hanging up.

So my mum picked up the phone and this robotic voice told her that a card had been cancelled at some random bank. She just ended the call and told me about it. I later looked into it and it turned out to be a scam. I called the bank to confirm, and everything was totally fine on their end.

I received a text notification claiming to be from my bank-though it never mentioned which bank! It stated that my card had been cancelled due to "suspicious activity." When I tried calling the number provided, I got a message saying it wasn't recognised. I checked with my actual bank and they confirmed it isn't one of their contact numbers. Quite concerning!

This really feels like a scam, especially considering how many folks have flagged it already. Honestly, it ought to have been taken off by now.

This call was pretty much the same as the others I’ve had before. Left a message on my voicemail but never said which bank it was or what card got cancelled. I thought I was signed up with the telephone preference service as well, so not sure why I’m still getting these calls. Luckily, my phone has call blocking, so I’ve just added another number to the block list.

Today, 27/3/18, I got a call from that free phone number. It was one of those automated messages saying my bank card was cancelled, but they never said which bank or card it was about. I went to my bank afterwards and asked them, but they said they hadn’t made any call like that. I gave the bank the number so they could pass it on to the right people to investigate.

Got a robotic call sayin there's some dodgy stuff going on with my card and to press 1 to fix it. They never said which bank or card it was, or who the card belonged to, so I just hung up. I later rang my bank and they told me it was definitely a scam.
