Got a call from this number around half past eight this morning. Didn’t have a clue who it was so just let it ring off. Figured I'd see if anyone else had spotted it on here. After having a read through the reviews, it seems like a definite SCAM. Sounds like they’re trying to hack into your computer and pinch your info! Proper dodgy, glad I didn’t pick up.

They keep ringing me, even after I made it clear I never asked for anything. It’s so annoying!

Got a call on the 14th of April, but they left no voicemail or anything.

Got a call from some robotic voice mentioning they were working nearby, but didn't really say much else. Pretty vague and sketchy if you ask me.

Got a call from a robotic voice today, telling me about my broadband upgrade with BT set for tomorrow. Seems like a proper genuine call, nothing dodgy.

I got a call today from Openreach. They just wanted to check in and confirm that an engineer’s appointment for our full fibre installation was all set for the date they gave us. Everything’s sorted on our end, thankfully!

For the past few weeks, I've had Full Fibre put in at my place by OPENREACH and this is the number they use to get in touch. Just to be clear, it’s definitely not a scam!

Had a call from someone claiming to be Openreach with an Indian accent, saying my internet’s been hacked or something like that. Total scam, obviously. My Dad actually got caught up in it and asked me to ring them back.

I got a call from a withheld number recently. The person said they were with BT Openreach and claimed my internet was at risk. I asked for a phone number so I could ring them back, and they gave me 0800232023. Turns out, that number isn’t real.

I received a call on my landline from the number 01491 958846, claiming to be from BT Internet. The caller insisted that my router was malfunctioning and that my internet speeds were suffering because of it. They promised to resolve the issue and asked me to press certain keys on my keyboard to assist them. When I requested their contact number to follow up, they provided me with 0800 232 023 and introduced himself as Ryan Lamar. His accent struck me as distinctly South Asian. They were quite persuasive, but I managed to keep them engaged for about half an hour before I told them I’d ring back-though, of course, I had no intention of doing so. Shortly thereafter, I received another call from 01976 749910, which I chose to ignore.

I've received numerous calls from this number, with someone on the line purporting to be from BT Openreach, insisting my account status had switched from private to public. I could hear a lot of chatter from what sounded like a bustling call centre in the background. They threatened to disconnect my internet, but I told them I'd ring back later. After looking into this number, it’s evident that my suspicion has served me well.

I got a call from someone called Roger Torque who said he was with BT Openreach. He told me my computer had viruses and that the "Openreach server" had seen it or something like that. I’m pretty sure he just said server, it was a bit confusing. I asked him for a contact number just to be sure it was really Openreach, and he gave me 0800 232 023. After the call, I tried ringing that number back and it was dead, no one answered and the line wasn’t recognised. Definitely a scam, watch out!

I got a call from an 0800 number and it felt shady. Seems like scammers can just use these free numbers easily. They actually hung up on me, maybe hoping I'd ring back since it’s a toll-free one. I wasn’t keen to call again, so I searched the number and stumbled upon this site. What a joke!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet - which isn’t true. I asked them for a number to call back on, and when I checked, it definitely wasn’t a BT number. Sounds like a classic scam to me.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, sounded like he was shouting from a packed call centre. He was going on about my BT broadband being infected or something. Total rubbish if you ask me.

This bloke with an Indian accent called me, said his name was Dominic and that he worked for BT. He claimed there was suspicious activity on my phone line and started firing off questions about how I use my computer. Then he told me to enter a “customer licence number” or “security ID” into my machine. I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving any info until he properly proved who he was, so he just gave me that number instead. He also mentioned they might shut my computer down for three days or so. Honestly, it smelt like one of those scams to me.

Just to add to what I said earlier today, I actually called my internet provider. They checked the number for me and it's not from BT at all - turns out it's registered in Texas. Pretty clear it’s a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Openreach tech team about my internet. When I asked who my provider was, they just rambled through loads of names all linked to TalkTalk. They tried to get me to let them on my computer. Don’t give these lot any details, it’s definitely a con.
