Got a call from +447304318779 saying they were with NatWest and warning me about a big eBay payment being stopped from my account. They told me to call that number back. I just ignored it. Looks like a scam to me for sure.

I just got a message on my phone saying that £1,390.99 paid to ‘eBay’ has been put on hold. The number it came from was +44 7398 135681. They told me to ring +448002294377 straight away if I didn’t authorise the payment. From what I’ve read, this is a scam and not connected to NatWest, even though the message tries to come off like it’s from them. And the kicker? I don’t even bank with NatWest! So yeah, be wary.

Just like others have mentioned here, we got a message that claimed to be from NatWest coming from the number 07947857738. They wanted us to call back on 0448002294377. We’ve blocked that number straight away!

Got a text that looked like it was from Natwest saying they’d stopped a payment to eBay and to ring them. I called the real Natwest on a number I found on their official website, and they told me it was a total scam. Avoid calling any numbers from the message!
