I am completely fed up with receiving numerous calls this morning. I have resorted to turning on my answering machine and clearly stating multiple times that I have no interest in participating in any surveys. However, these persistent individuals refuse to accept my refusal. To make matters worse, I am already registered on the Telephone Preference (TP) list. If I don't answer on one number, they have the audacity to call from different ones. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and these callers should face severe fines as a consequence to deter such actions from happening again.

I have no clue who keeps ringing me, and whenever I pick up, there’s just silence on the other end. I seriously don’t get what they’re hoping to achieve with this strange habit. It’s pretty daft, if you ask me. What’s weird is that these annoying calls mostly happen around lunch or early evening, like between 12 to 2 and 4 to 6. I’ve stopped even bothering to answer during those times. If it’s something important, they can always just leave a voicemail, right?

Got another call today asking me to answer some questions so they can apparently sell my info. I told them no and just ended the call. I’m signed up with TPS but it doesn’t seem to stop it at all. To add some variation, here is an updated version of the text using British English: I have been contacted by this particular number on no less than 11 occasions. Strangely, each time, no one responds and the call ends abruptly. Despite having protection against this type of call, they persist in phoning me relentlessly throughout the day and night. As a shift worker, being disrupted from my sleep is incredibly aggravating, to say the least.

Got a call from an Indian lady with a really thick accent that was tough to follow. She was just reading off the standard script. From what I gathered, it sounds like a telesales outfit out of India. When you do manage to get someone on the line, they push you to give permission for partner firms to ring you up with supposed "deals". This call is an unwanted survey call. Surprisingly, they seem unaware of the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), which is intended to prevent these bothersome individuals from disturbing us. If you disconnect, they will ring again later using a different number.
