It’s pretty daft, if you ask me. What’s weird is that these annoying calls mostly happen around lunch or early evening, like between 12 to 2 and 4 to 6. This number has been ringing me nonstop, I think it must be about 11 times now. Every single call just ends with silence and then it hangs up. Got a call from an Indian lady with a really thick accent that was tough to follow. She was just reading off the standard script. When you do manage to get someone on the line, they push you to give permission for partner firms to ring you up with supposed "deals".
