I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent claiming to represent Windows support. He mentioned that our computer had been sending error messages and that it might be infected with a virus. He expressed an eagerness to have remote access in order to rectify the issues. Strangely, he indicated that the faults were logged three weeks ago at precisely 4:50. When pressed, he noted that we were using Vista, and urgency was in his tone, urging us to get to our computer swiftly. However, he was quite evasive when I asked for the IP address of our problematic device. Nonetheless, he did provide an 0800 number-08002061133-to contact him further and asked when would be a convenient time for them to call back. Quite the dodgy situation, I must say!

I recently received a call from this number, with someone identifying themselves as "Jenson" and claiming to represent Windows Support. They insisted that our computer was on the verge of crashing and mentioned something about error messages being sent out. Apparantly, they were eager to guide us through some sort of fix. We politely declined their assistance, saying we would get back to them instead. This is the number they provided us. After running thorough antivirus scans and system diagnostics, I'm happy to report that our computer is in perfect working order, with no issues detected.

An individual with an Asian accent reached out, claiming to represent Windows and mentioning that our system had encountered some errors. They insisted that they needed to access our computer and suggested there would be costs involved to resolve the issues. We declined to fork out any cash and kindly asked them to send the details to our email instead. Suddenly, we found ourselves disconnected from the call. Now, we're left feeling anxious that we might have inadvertently given them a chance to implant a virus in our system, especially since we did allow them a glimpse at our computer, where there were indeed some errors present.

We received a call from some chap with an 'unknown number' claiming to be from Windows support. He asked us to click on 'start', and we questioned the necessity of it. His response was to confirm if we had an internet connection, to which we firmly replied, 'NO'. His reaction was quite comical - he seemed baffled that we weren't online. My father has recently fallen victim to this scam. Unfortunately, he recklessly allowed this foreigner access to his computer. The bloke insisted he required £160 to resolve a so-called virus issue. Thankfully, Dad mentioned that she didn’t go through with the payment, as she wanted our guidance first. We’ve warned him that she could have just as easily handed over the keys to her house! What a daft move!

We've recently received a call from them and were curious about how they had obtained our phone number. When we inquired, she claimed that it was automatically sent along with our computer, which seemed really far-fetched to us. It just didn’t add up at all. As we were chatting, we took the liberty to look up her company and phone number, and lo and behold, this website popped up. It definitely feels like a scam!

I recently received a phone call from someone claiming to be from a foreign locale, asserting that our laptop had been compromised by a virus. When we asked them for our name, surprisingly, they already knew it. We then probed further, asking where they were calling from, to which they simply replied "Windows." At that point, we queried which specific laptop they were referring to since we own three different ones. Their response? Just any laptop would suffice. We pressed them for their name and contact number, stating we'd call back. However, after entering the number into a search engine, it became glaringly obvious that this was a scam.

Total scam! They’ll try to convince you that your computer has loads of Windows errors and potential malware problems. Then, they'll push you to buy Windows 7 or some dodgy security software. It's just tiresome nonsense!

We encountered a similar predicament with our computer and ended up hiring the same folks. Although we were a bit sceptical, by the time they wrapped up, our machine was not only operational but also noticeably faster. It's possible these chaps could be up to no good, but the end result is we received our computer back, and it was certainly in better shape than before.

Received a call from this number around 5 in the evening on the 23rd of November, 2010. The caller claimed to be from the Windows Support Team, insisting there was a virus alert and that we needed to start up our computer right away to follow instructions. The voice, which had a distinctly Indian accent, mentioned that our machine was running very slowly and was plagued with viruses. We were advised to open Internet Explorer and search for "ammyy." Naturally, we declined to comply, despite her offering a callback number. The entire encounter felt sketchy at best, like a potential scam or an unwelcome intrusion.
