Dodgy call! Robotic voice pretending to be some British message service. Best to ignore and not answer back at all.

I reckon this is a total scam. They keep ringing my dad who's quite old, and it’s really stressing him out. These calls can seriously mess with elderly folks’ wellbeing.

Got a weird robo call claiming it was NatWest, then it told me to press some key to stop them ringing again. Strange stuff.

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be NatWest. They told me to press any key - total scam, obviously.

This number keeps ringing me loads throughout the day with automated messages. The voicemail says something weird like “you must continue to prevent further calls,” which honestly makes no sense to me. One of the messages said it was NatWest, but real NatWest calls usually come from 0345 numbers, so I’m pretty sure this isn’t legit.

Got a dodgy text from 08001615987 saying they've been trying to reach me loads of times. It told me to ring them back on 08001615987 or check out their site at [#]natwest[###]/paybycard. Seems like a scam to me. NWM

Got a text saying "Urgent matter, please ring us on 08001615987. Ulster Bank." I checked with my actual bank first and then reported this straight away.

They rang me really late, like 3 or 4 in the morning, and I usually don’t pick up unknown numbers. A couple days earlier I did answer, just said hello, and some bloke said hello back on the line - it was quite unsettling so I hung up. Then they called straight away again but I left it.

Got a call from a doctor today, at first I had no clue why, but then he reminded me about a appointment I totally forgot about. Sorted a new date and ended up having a pleasant chat with him.

I didn't pick up, but if it's Natwest credit card dept, I don’t even have a Natwest credit card so it’s gotta be a scam.

I didn’t get a phone call, just a letter telling me to ring them straight away. Luckily, I looked up the number on Google before calling. I ended up ringing NatWest on their official number and let them know about the scam. Make sure you warn your mates and family about this!

In the UK, 0800 numbers are supposed to be free to call. I missed the call and didn’t pick up quick enough. This feels like a new trick to me. Seems tempting to ring them back since it’s free, but I wonder if they can just forward you to some premium rate number instead?

Total scam - they had the nerve to ask for my BANK DETAILS?? If they were actually NatWest like they claimed, there’s no way they’d be asking for stuff like this or my online banking pin!

โ€ญ00 800 1615987โ€ฌ showed up as XT on my caller ID, not sure what that’s about. It’s Saturday here, so I just ignored it. Checked the comments and some say it’s a wrong number. I doubt anyone important would be calling me at 5pm on a Saturday!

Never had a single word with them. They ring me up every week though.

The person on the phone didn’t say who they were or where they were calling from. They kept asking for someone I’d never heard of. I told them they’d got the wrong number, but they said this was the landline they had and wanted me to confirm I didn’t know the person. I repeated it was the wrong number. Then they asked me for my street name, so I just ended the call.

For a couple of weeks, we've been getting calls on our landline all day long. We never gave our number to any businesses and it’s not public anywhere. The ringing usually kicks off around 8 in the morning. Absolutely annoying. Nobody ever answers on the other end. It feels like total harassment. Properly tired of it...

Someone called saying they were from RBS. I told them I don’t use RBS so why am I supposed to call back straight away? They mentioned NW and since I do have a NW credit card, I rang them to double check. They said they hadn’t been in touch and to just ignore the call.

This was from Ulster/Mint/Natwest/RBS Collections for a credit card. I wasn’t too sure about it so I made up a ‘Natwest-style’ card number (correct BIN, 16 digits, passes the LUHN check - those years working in Card Services IT come in handy sometimes). Managed to get through to Jodi, who gave me the lowdown on the number. I told her it sounded like it could be a scam, and she said she’d relay my feedback about the automated system not mentioning the group name. Plus, she pointed out that instead of ringing the 0800 number they provided, the proper thing would be for the card-holder to call the number printed on the card itself.

This number keeps ringing me up a couple of times daily and it's starting to get really irritating. I usually don't pick up calls if I don't recognise the number or if it's hidden. I think this one might end up getting blocked soon. Feels like it could be some kind of scam or something.

Ever since 10/07/2014, I've been getting about two to four calls each day from this number. I have no idea who it is, so I just don’t pick up. Having dealt with annoying calls in the past, I’d say if you don’t know the number, just let it ring and don’t answer.

This number's called me a few times already, like three or so. I never picked up, and when I tried returning the call, it said the number wasn’t valid or something. Anyone else getting this?

Got three calls from them already, but only picked up once since I wasn’t sure about it. They claimed there was some sort of problem with my bank, but I was actually at dinner and told them I couldn’t chat then. Don’t really trust it though.
