I noticed some dodgy charges on my Barclaycard and Barclays actually messaged me about it, even left a voicemail with a number to ring back. I looked at the app to double check and yep, there were definitely some strange transactions. So I phoned the number they gave and thankfully, they sorted it out and took off the unauthorised payments.

I got three calls from this number. The first time, it was some auto message telling me to ring them back, which I ignored. The next call came through but no one left a message. On the third try, I picked up and it was completely silent, no one there at all. Definitely not Barclays!

Got multiple calls from 08001615336, answered one time and they said they were from Barclays about dodgy activity on my account but mentioned a different person’s name then just hung up. Pretty obvious scam. They’ve called about six more times since then but I just let it go to voicemail, no messages left which is kinda weird on its own.

I got a call shortly after I'd done a payment with my Barclay card. The person said they were from Barclays fraud team and mentioned some odd things happening on my account. They claimed they didn't need any personal info but then asked me to prove I was the cardholder by picking my birth day and month from four options. Before I could really think about whether it was legit, the call cut off unexpectedly.

They've rang me and a relative a few times today. I've already checked and confirmed a charge on my card, and the other person hasn’t even used their Barclaycard for ages. It’s just really annoying how they keep phoning even after we've sorted it out!

Been rung up by this number about three times today. It's one of those recorded messages saying they’re from Barclays fraud team. Problem is, I don't even have a Barclays account, so I just hung up straight away. When my actual bank alerted me about anything dodgy before, it was a letter telling me to get in touch with their fraud department - and I found the number myself on the back of my bank statement. Really, best not to believe any calls or emails out of the blue claiming to be from the bank.
